Relationship Counseling

Though relationship therapy is usually for married couples or people in long-term romantic relationships, it can also be for any two people seeking help with their relationship. Maybe you want to deepen intimacy, or work through a specific conflict, or get help during difficult times. I work with siblings, roommates, friends, parents & children, and of course romantic partners of any sexual or gender orientation.

Often couples come in when their relationship hits a crisis, such as when a partner has an affair, or when resentments seem too impossibly big to get over, or when the relationship has hit a major wall. I also encourage couples to think about therapy earlier in the relationship, when they begin to hit minor bumps in the road. Anytime is a good time to re-connect and deepen your relationship, and to do the exploration that allows you to have good, fun times together again.

Therapy can help couples love better, fight better, and return to a healthy sexual life. I have training and experience working with sexual issues with couples, and I’m happy and comfortable exploring this important side of being in a romantic couple. Especially in couples that have been together for several years or more, there can sometimes be a lot of pressure around sex, and I have worked with many couples to unlock all of the stuff keeping them from, really, just loving each other, and themselves and their own bodies, again.
